Driving license AM

A category AM driving license is required to drive a snorfiets, moped, or brommobiel.
To obtain an AM driving license, you will need to pass the theory exam at the CBR. Afterwards, you will need to take a practical exam.

There are separate practical exams for mopeds and brommobielen. If you pass the moped exam, you are allowed to drive a snorfiets, moped, speed pedelec, and brommobiel.
If you pass the brommobiel exam, you are not allowed to drive a snorfiets, moped, or speed pedelec.

The theory exam consists of 50 questions. You pass if you answer at least 43 questions correctly.

If you drive a snorfiets, moped, speed pedelec, or brommobiel without an AM driving license, you risk a hefty fine. Furthermore, you are not insured in the event of damage or an accident.
You must always present your original driving license during checks. A copy is therefore not sufficient.

If your A or B driving licence is no longer valid for medical reasons, you can still obtain a type AM driving licence.
