Category K – Direction signs

Sign K1 – Low decision signpost along motorway for the through direction, with long-distance targets and motorway route number.

Sign K2 – Advance sign along the motorway for the outgoing direction, with distance indication, exit number, long-distance targets (upper target = exit name), reference to airport and non-motorway route number purpose = exit name), reference to airport and non-motorway route number.
Sign K3 – Decision sign along the motorway for the downhill direction to a rest area, with the name of the car park and symbols indicating the nature of the facilities.



Sign K4 – A high-decision signpost along a motorway with a lane panel for the onward direction and a branch panel for the outgoing direction, with long-distance targets, motorway route numbers, and European main routes.
Sign K5 – Advance sign along non-motorway, with interurban destinations, route numbers, viaduct symbol, and industrial estate designation.
Sign K6 – Decision sign along non-motorway with long-distance destinations and route number non-motorway.
Sign K7—This is a signpost for cyclists and moped riders (hand guide), with a local goal, an interurban goal, an urban cycle route number (top), and long-distance targets and an interurban cycle route number (bottom).
Sign K8 – Signpost for cyclists and moped riders (stacking board), with long-distance goals and a goal to be reached via an alternative route (in italics).
Sign K9 – Diversion. Measure on the front sign along a non-motorway.



Sign K10 – Directional sign within the built-up area with interurban purpose, local purpose, a day recreation center, objects, and city route numbers.
Sign K11 – Pre-sort on non-motorway. Sign with long-distance destinations, route numbers and reference to a motorway.
Sign K12 – Neighborhood signpost within built-up areas, with neighborhood names (in traffic areas).
Sign K13 – Neighborhood signpost within built-up areas, with district numbers (in traffic areas).
Sign K14 – Route for the transport of certain hazardous substances.
