Snorfiets (Light moped)

The speed limit for a snorfiets is 25 kilometers per hour. Mopeds must have a blue number plate at the rear.
A moped is not a motor vehicle, but a motor carriage.
Riders of a snorfiets are required to wear a properly fitting helmet.
Snorfiets riders are required to ride on the mandatory bicycle, or bicycle/moped path. In some cities, such as Amsterdam, snorfiets riders are no longer allowed to ride on the mandatory cycle path. Snorfiets riders are then obliged to ride on the carriageway.
