Stopping – bus lanes and on the carriageway alongside a bus lane

You are not allowed to stand still on a bus lane or on the carriageway next to a bus lane.
Sometimes there is a small lane near a bus stop, but the word bus is not affixed. You may then stop briefly to let passengers get on or off immediately. The picture above does show the word BUS. You are then not allowed to stop at the bus stop.

You are not allowed to drive on a carriageway for buses at all, it is only for buses. But…. Along a carriageway for buses, you are allowed to stand still and also park.
