Turning in front of each other

If you want to turn left at a junction and a driver coming from the opposite direction also wants to turn left, you basically pass in front of each other. The advantage of this is that you don’t have to wait for each other and if several vehicles want to turn left, you can continue behind each other.

However, when turning left, pay attention to whether the driver from the opposite direction is also planning to pass in front of you. You can tell by the position of his wheels or by eye contact, or arm and hand gestures.
