Distributor roads

Distributor roads connect the through roads with the access roads. Traffic flows on road sections and exchange takes place at intersections.
Distributor roads occur both inside and outside built-up areas. Inside built-up areas, they are mainly roads with a maximum speed limit of 50 or 70 kilometers per hour.
Outside built-up areas, they are generally 80 kilometer per hour roads.
Outside built-up areas, bicycle/moped paths, are separated from the carriageway. Tractors are also banned from these roads by a traffic sign.
Outside built-up areas, these roads have double lines in the middle. These stripes are often continuous lines to prevent overtaking. Of course, these lines can also be broken, or a combination of a broken and solid line.

Below are two examples. The left-hand image shows a road with a possibility to overtake. The right-hand image shows a road where overtaking is not allowed.
